“Best product of the year” – this is the verdict of the judges at this year’s Plus X Awards for the three Indestructible flashlights and the beam lantern from VARTA Consumer’s Indestructible range of products. These flashlights don’t just provide brilliant illumination, they’re also incredibly tough – they can even survive a fall from a height of up to nine meters. In addition, VARTA Consumer’s three-year warranty serves to underscore just how durable its ultra-resilient lights are.
VARTA Consumer launched its Indestructible range of flashlights last September as additions to its existing, successful lines of products. These new flashlights have been a hit with consumers who lead very active lifestyles and who want flashlights that can cope in even the toughest of conditions. But their popularity doesn’t stop there: The judges of this year’s Plus X Awards have decided to announce the Indestructible range the best product of the year.
Indestructible flashlights: uncompromisingly reliable
They’re ready for every possible situation – from extreme outdoor pursuits to a hard day’s work on the construction site. To cope with these situations, these flashlights are made of tough materials and have an amazingly shockproof internal construction. VARTA’s Indestructible series consists of six flashlights, and they really do live up to their name.
Ergonomics in action
Each flashlight has a water resistant casing made from an alloy of aluminum and titanium for the ultimate in toughness. The on/off switch is located on the battery compartment’s cap, adding to the ergonomic design of these flashlights. Their high-performance LEDs generate up to 140 lumens and yield of up to 160 meters, features which have helped turn VARTA Consumer’s Indestructible series into such a resounding success.
Prize-winning: Built to Survive
This aspect of the Indestructible series deserves special attention – as the judges of the Plus X-Award recognized when they have the flashlights one of their highly coveted prizes. Our ultra-tough flashlights and lantern received prizes as “Best flashlight in 2012" together with seals of approval as product with especially high quality, design and functionality.
Patrick Bochet, International Marketing Director for Batteries at VARTA Consumer, is thrilled by the sustained success of the company’s Indestructible flashlights: “We are very proud that the judges of the Plus X Award have recognized and rewarded the work of our product designers. They have put huge efforts into creating a portfolio of extremely tough flashlights that are at the same time ergonomic and appealing.”
